Brandy Meyer - Receptionist
Brandy graduated from Lake High School and attended Northwestern Dental Academy for Dental Assisting. She has been working in the Dental field since 2009. She has done chair side assisting, hygiene assisting in the past. She is now working with Insurance, answering phones and greeting patients here at Spring Valley Dental. She takes pride in what she does. In her free time she enjoys volleyball, softball and spending time with her friends and family. She has 3 boys, Drew, Cody and Dalton. She also has 1 fur baby named Diesel and an amazing husband.

Tracey Chmelovski - Dental Assistant - EFDA
Tracey has been with Spring Valley Dental as a dental assistant/EFDA since 2005. She received her Expanded Function Dental Auxillary training from Owens Community College in 2012. Tracey lives in Bowling Green with her husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and vacationing as often as possible.

Michelle Wright - Office Manager
Michelle has been in the dental field since 1984. She has been with Spring Valley Dental since 1991. She is happy to answer your questions, plan for appointments, help resolve concerns and make your visits positive. She loves the energy of our team that shares her primary goal which is to help you!

Between her husband Jim and herself, they have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Michelle enjoys spending time with her family by the pool or taking her French Bulldogs Izzy and Rylee for walks.

Karen Burkhart - Dental Assistant 
Karen has been with Spring Valley Dental since 2015. She has assisted for many years for Toledo dentists including a few specialty offices. Karen's fondest memories were serving the soldiers in the United States Army dental unit. Her go give attitude tends to be contagious.

She is an avid Marathon runner and has tried Triathlon’s. She also enjoys watching baseball. She is married to Jim and they recently got a pound puppy named Maggie. Karen is looking forward to meeting her first grandson very soon.

Kathryn Bowlby - Insurance Coordinator
Born and raised in California, Kathryn moved to Maumee, Ohio in 2001. She has been part of the Spring Valley Dental team for since 2007. Kathryn has been in the dental field since 1999, starting as a certified dental assistant and eventually transitioning to Insurance Coordinator. When not at work, Kathryn enjoys spending every minute with her two beautiful daughters.

Nicole Padilla - Receptionist
Nicole grew up in Toledo, Ohio. She attended Ross Medical College for dental assisting. She has worked in the dental field since 2009 and has been with Spring Valley Dental since 2014. She is passionate about getting to know all of our patients and making sure they receive quality service and attention from our front office. She enjoys making patients feel welcome and cared for. She always tries to be a patient’s biggest advocate and nothing brings her more joy than knowing someone felt special in our office.

Nicole works with insurances at Spring Valley Dental, going over treatment plans, answering phones and checking patients in and out. She has two children, Trey and Bryson and two fur babies Rocky and Bella. Outside of work she enjoys coaching and spending time with my family, friends and boyfriend. 
Kate Jackson - Dental Assistant
Kate earned a dental assisting certification from Stautzenberger College in 2016 and she has an associate of science from Owens Community College. She plans to continue her education within the dental field in the next few years. In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Gabby.
Chelsea Floro - Dental Assistant - EFDA
Chelsea has been a part of Spring Valley Dental since 2104. She studied Dental Assisting at Stautzenberger College in 2013, earning her dental assistant radiographer certificate and her certificate as a Certified Ohio Dental Assistant in 2014. In 2017 Chelsea returned to continue her education at Owens Community College, studying to become an Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary. She will complete her training in August 2017. 

In her free time Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters camping and being outdoors. She is active in her church.
Sherri Kay - Dental Assistant - EFDA
Sherri graduated from the dental assistant program at Penta career center in 1996. She has been in the dental field since then, starting to work in the field her senior year in High School. She has been with Spring Valley Dental since 2012. She continued her training and received her certificate as an Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary in 2015. She enjoys getting to know our patients and their families. 

Sherri finds the dental field very rewarding. She enjoys working with people and helping change how they feel about going to the dentist. She loves to spend time with her daughter and son, who are very involved with dance and baseball. She loves spending time with friends, jogging, and various sporting events. She feels lucky to work with such a wonderful team that is like a family to her.
Melissa Kowalski - Dental Hygienist
Melissa started her dental career in 1997 as a Certified Dental Assistant. She went on to further her education at Youngstown State University where she earned her degree in Applied Science, Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been with Spring Valley Dental since 2007. Melissa has received advanced training & certification to administer local anesthetic, nitrous oxide sedation and the ability to provide optimal preventative oral care while working independently.  

Melissa strives to continually improve at her craft and stay up-to-date with the most current practices in dentistry. Melissa's favorite thing about being a Registered Dental Hygienist is getting to know each patient's specific need and helping meet those individually. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family & friends.
Jacqueline Sperling - Dental Assistant - EFDA 
Jacqueline began her career as a Dental Assistant in 1995. She has learned a lot and has been able to develop her skills over the years.

In 2011, she decided to become a Certified Dental Assistant. She loved what she was doing, but wanted more of a challenge and to be able to help her patients in another way. She decided to go back to school again in 2014 to advance her career and become an Expanded Functions Dental Auxillary.
Dawn Sartain - Appointment Coordinator
Dawn is responsible for ensuring that you receive convenient treatment opportunities. Dawn has been in the dental field since 1979 and has worked in general dentistry as well as orthodontic, periodontics and endodontic specialty offices. 

She has been a part of the Spring Valley Dental team since 2004. She enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her husband Gary, family and friends. She also loves her 4 legged babies (standard poodles) Mousse and Mona.
Nicole Compton - Dental Hygienist
Nicole has been a registered dental hygienist since 2009. She has been a part of the Spring Valley Dental team since 2011. In addition to being a hygienist, Nicole is also a licensed expanded function dental auxiliary. 

She is passionate about delivering quality care while maintaining a friendly and comfortable environment. She strives to always be a very thorough, yet gentle hygienist. When not working, Nicole loves to cook and spend time with her family. She attended culinary school and enjoys making new creative meals for them.
Amy Saltzstein - Dental Hygienist
Amy has a passion and desire to help others maintain and improve their health. She has pursued this goal through her entire professional career as a Dental Hygienist and as a Group Fitness Instructor. She has been a Dental hygienist since 1984 and has been a part of the Spring Valley Dental team since 2000. She has been a Group Fitness Instructor at local wellness centers such as ProMedica’s Wildwood Athletic Club, Owens Corning, and St. James Club since 1997.

After completing her studies in the Sylvania School district, she went on to graduate from The Ohio State College of Dentistry, along with earning a Bachelor Degree in Sociology. To take her professional responsibilities seriously by maintaining the following-- Licensures: Local anesthesia administration; nitrous oxide delivery. Accreditations/Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support,  American Fitness Association, Body Training Systems, Spinning, Silver Sneakers, Aquatic Exercise Association, Kids in Motion 

Her passion for health carries over into her personal life. She has maintained a rigorous daily work out routine for over 30 years, and has competed in triathlons, half marathons and 100 mile bike events.[oh, and she floss every day :-) !]. She is the most proud of many other accomplishments, having raised 2 productive children [and a Springer Spaniel!] that provide great joy and satisfaction. She looks forward to the opportunity to get to know you and assist in keeping you healthy!
